Crossing Borders - Building a Recognized Brand in Canada and the U.S.

Approach: The strategy centred on strategically highlighting Dr. Oyetakin’s personality, values, and passions across a variety ofplatforms, including Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok. In addition to developing a strong social media presence, I focused on acquiring press coverage to elevate her position not only as a dermatologist but also as a prominent figure in the beauty industry. Over a five-month period, this approach aimed to create an authentic and influential online persona, while also broadening her visibility in the media. Incorporating high-impact PR placements, Dr. Oyetakin was featured in major publications, including Allure, Health Central, Women’s Health, Glamour, Today, 21Ninety, and Yahoo Lifestyle, which greatly enhanced her credibility and visibility across multiple sectors. Results: Social Media Growth: Instagram - 423 Organic Followers - 24,000 Reach - 63,000 Impressions - 40% Engagement Rate LinkedIn - 1,049 Followers - 332 Profile Views - 83,275 Impressions - 93% Engagement Rate PR Coverage: - Features in Allure, Women's Health, Health Central, Glamour, Today, 21Ninety, and Yahoo Lifestyle - 11 articles published within 5 months - Open Rate: 42% - Response Rate: 10.53% - Conversion Rate: 100%
